I am a mother to active twin teenage boys that excel in competitive rock climbing and running. I take advantage of every surf opportunity I possibly can. I live on the eastside of Santa Cruz and love to surf the Hook. I am a social worker and love working alongside youth and community members to bring about positive changes in their lives and our community. I am also a contributing writer for the East Coast Wahines website.
I have always been energetic and athletic. I was a leading goal scorer in high school (Colorado), and ran for The University of Washington Varsity Track and Cross Country teams in the 1990s. I ran for Reebok after college (16:44 – 5K; 4:36 - 1500 meters). After getting injured, I searched endlessly for a new activity to capture me and was blessed to finally find surfing.
