Happy Friday! We couldn't need this weekend more that we need it today. We're not sure if it is the end of summer blues, back to school rush, excitement for the long weekend or just being exhausted from the heaviness of the news we take in on the reg. With all the incredibly serious and awful stuff happening in the news, we are offering you a welcome distraction today. Check out the blog, possibly learn about a new tune, be inspired to whip up a fancy new drink this weekend and take a break to do some shopping.
Joe Goddard who is responsible for today's song pick: Taking Over, is a chill out genius. His music is the type where you don't just listen to one song...it's a listen to the whole album kind of thing. A turn it on and forget it kind of thing. This weeks drink pick is a tasty classic, the Lemon Drop, with a twist. The addition here is cucumber slices which makes the drink even a touch fresher than it already is.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz. Van Gogh Vodka
- 1 oz. Limoncello di Capri
- 1/4 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
- 4 – 1/4 inch thick slices Cucumber
- 3 Basil Leaves
- 3 dashes Fee Brothers Cherry Bitters
- Garnish:
- One basil leaf
- Three cucumber slices
