So much going on in the world the last few days... and the most exciting are the huge waves hitting the coast line. The Bay Area's own Bianca Valenti charging with the boys is so inspirational. While we watch from the coastline we've picked the perfect cocktail and music.... The Salty Dog paired with the Wood Brothers. We are particularly identifying with American Heartache.... We believe that a great drink, the ocean and watching women charge will take your woes away.
The Salty Dog
This Salty Dog recipe is basically grapefruit juice doctored up with booze and salt—what's not to love?
Ingredients
MAKES 2 SERVINGS- Coarse kosher salt
- Ice cubes
- 1/2 cup vodka or gin
- 3/4 cup fresh grapefruit juice
Preparation
Pour coarse salt onto small plate. Moisten rims of 2 highball glasses. Gently dip rims into salt to coat lightly. Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour 1/4 cup vodka over ice in each glass. Divide grapefruit juice between glasses and serve.
