Friday Distractions & Giveaway: Restore & Renewon
It’s January, so by now you’ve probably noticed that everyone and her mom is purging, cleaning, joining a new gym, signing up for a cleanse program, or somehow rearranging and reorganizing an aspect of their life or their home. This practice is good, healthy even. We’ve been doing the same thing, so we know how beneficial the practice of taking taking inventory on our lives, making resolutions, and setting goals can be; however, this post-holiday season of can also be draining. We really believe in resolutions, but we also believe in restoration, in taking time for your mind, body, and soul. For your upcoming self-care days, our Talora fabric is the perfect fit. It's buttery soft and so comfy.
If you find that a sweaty yoga class helps clear your mind, you’ll definitely want to incorporate the Hana Talora top into your practice. It’s soft, supportive, and strappy. The quick drying properties mean that you can pull on your Hayley Reversible Pullover right after class.
For your early a.m. hikes, brisk afternoon walks, or slow evening strolls, the Holman Bomber is a soft, cozy performance jacket that looks adorable with both jeans and leggings. It will keep you warm and comfy all hours of the day!
And for all your other restful activities, whether it be snuggling on the couch with a cocktail and a movie, getting a pedicure, relaxing in front of the fireplace, or chilling in a coffee shop, you can sport the Talora Dress. It’s stretchy but not clingy, flattery for all figures, and delightfully soft. For maximum coziness, we recommend pairing with the Canyon Legging and a fur-lined boot.
This is a season for looking inward and looking forward, and we do that best when we’re taking care of ourselves. We’d love to help you make this a season for yoga classes, sunrise hikes, and curling up with a good book. A season for finding rest in your soul and comfort in (and on!) your skin.
The party doesn’t have to stop just because the holidays are over. Whether it’s a New Year’s resolution to do a better job of hanging out with friends or the New Year’s party is still winding down, this trusty drink recipe will come in handy. The El Tequiletto is a low-alcohol cocktail that is both refreshing and less harsh on the liver, an organ that probably needs a break after the last few weeks.
The El Tequiletto Cocktail uses just a hint of the agave spirit, as well as amaretto and orange juice. Whether a fabulous brunch is on the horizon or you need an afternoon pick-me-up, this tequila cocktail is a delightfully sweet treat.
Keep the celebration going for you and your liver with a light drink that is easy to make and guaranteed to provide hours of happy drinking. Get the recipe here.
An upbeat tune is just what we need to kick off 2019. This month's song is "In a River by Rostam". Rostam Batmanglij was in the notable band Vampire Weekend. He is no longer with them, but creating his own unique sound solo. He released his standalone single "In a River" and has been preforming it live ever since. It’s a mandolin-driven ballad that ultimately builds into a folksy, stomp-along section with fiddle embellishments. Kick off January with the perfect upbeat tune. Want more fresh tunes?
