With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, love is in the air. We love a lot of things here at Carve Designs: Endless beach days, cotton candy sunsets, ice cold margaritas, girlfriends who make us laugh, and clothes that make us feel good about ourselves, for starters. In an effort to fill our lives with as much positivity as possible, we make the things we love a priority. We block off Saturdays for the beach, we pull over to watch good sunsets from the side of the road, we make our margaritas from scratch, and we try to do as many of those things with our girlfriends as possible.
When it comes to clothes, those can help us protect what we love, too. We designed all our rashguards and swim tights to protect against sunburn, board chafe, sand scrapes, and wind chill. We believe it’s easier to have fun when you’re comfortable and confident, so we designed them to be cute and flattering, too.
We designed one of our newest rashguards, the sleeveless Hanalei, with a high neck to protect the sunburn-prone chest area and an adjustable tie-back so you can show as much or as little midriff as you want. The Belles Beach rashguard offers a little more coverage with cap sleeves to protect the tops of your shoulders, and the Molly Sunshirt offers total protection from the elements with an attached hood. What can we say? We like options.
Speaking of options, our swim leggings are so versatile we should really consider recategorizing them as “everything leggings.” The durable and quick-drying swim fabric makes them perfect for any activity where you might get wet, from a sweaty hike to hot yoga to stand up paddle boarding. They really do shine at the beach, though, where their UPF 50+ properties will save you from needing sunscreen, and both the Hampton Capri and the full length Salters Tight allow you to move freely without showing more skin than you want to. Sometimes you have to bend over at the beach. Sometimes you don’t want to do that in bikini bottoms. Like we said: We protect what matters.

Our song choice for the month of love is one that you will have on repeat. Future Islands brings a new wave beat with their album Singles. The song choice "A Dream of You and Me" lyrics are the sort of thing that would tumble out of your mouth if you were told to write a love poem right now in eight seconds.
