Wanderings: Island Days in the Philippines

Wanderings: Island Days in the Philippines

The journey started in search of sunshine, but what we found was color, craft, and rhythm.
Red native blooms, like wild orchids and bold Malabulak blossoms, lit up the landscape and sparked our imagination. In open-air markets, handwoven textiles and painted signs turned everyday life into kaleidoscope of color and pattern.

Bangka boats skimmed across turquoise water, leading to islands full of texture and warmth. And on Siargao, the legendary Cloud 9 surf break delivered more than waves—it gave us early-morning adrenaline, barefoot afternoons, and a slower way to move through the day. It all reminded us that wonder lives in contrast. In bold color next to quiet jungle. In the balance between movement and stillness. And all it takes is curiosity to see it.
