Brand Marketing Manager
Salary Range: 90-110K
Location: Sausalito, CA (Hybrid)
About the Role
Carve Designs started on a surf trip in Mexico, when our founders couldn’t find swimwear that made them feel good and kept up with them in the water. More than twenty years later, we are a complete lifestyle brand with apparel, swim and accessories to live effortlessly and feel beautiful.
We’re looking for a Brand Marketing Manager to tell that story every day. You’ll own Carve’s organic social channels, from channel strategy and the post calendar to publishing, community management, and reporting, partnering with our creative team and copywriter to bring the content to life. Off the screen, you’ll create the in-store events, pop-ups, and influencer events that let people experience Carve in person, and you’ll support our partnerships, collaborations, PR, and Carve Insiders program.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this is a hands-on role based in our Sausalito, CA office. It’s made for a strategic, highly organized marketer with sharp social instincts: someone who knows what makes people stop scrolling, and who loves bringing a brand to life both online and IRL.
What You’ll Do
Organic Social
● Own the channel strategy for Carve’s organic social channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Linkedin), with clear goals for awareness, engagement, and community growth. We have big goals tied to follower growth across all platforms.
● Build and manage the post calendar, aligned to product launches, campaigns, retail moments, and the broader brand initiatives.
● Brief and partner with our creative team on content needs, ensuring content is on-brand, platform-native, and delivered on schedule.
● Brief and partner with our copywriter on caption and copywriting needs for all social assets.
● Own day-to-day publishing, posting and community management (ie: responding to comments and DMs in Carve’s brand voice, monitor sentiment, and route customer service or product feedback to the right teams, etc)
● Stay ahead of platform trends, formats, and algorithm changes, and test new ideas to grow reach and engagement.
● Report on social performance (reach, engagement, follower growth, traffic, and conversion) in our weekly DTC meetings and monthly to the larger organization
In-Store Events, Pop-Up Activations & Influencer Events
● Build and execute in-store events for new Carve retail locations, including grand openings and key retail moments.
● Manage the day-to-day relationship with our agency partner on summer pop-up activations.
● Plan and execute launch events for collaboration and partnership capsules, hosting influencers and media.
● Own event logistics, budgets, vendors, timelines, and on-site execution.
● Measure and report on event performance (ie: attendance, content generated, etc)
Partnerships & Collaborations
● Manage partnership timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination with Product, Design, Ecommerce, and Retail teams.
● Bring partnerships and collaborations to life across social, retail, and events, and report on results.
PR Support
● Support the VP of Marketing in managing Carve’s PR agency and media events
● Track press coverage and amplify key wins across social and internally.
Carve Insiders
● Own the Carve Insiders ambassador program, including recruitment, gifting, communications, and ongoing engagement.
● Leverage Insiders content and feedback across social, events, and the broader marketing team.
What We’re Looking For
● 6+ years of experience in brand marketing, social media, or experiential marketing, ideally at an apparel, fashion, or lifestyle brand.
● Proven experience owning organic social channels, including strategy, calendar, publishing, community management, and reporting.
● Strong copywriting skills and a natural feel for brand voice.
● Proven experience planning and executing retail events, pop-up activations, and influencer events from concept through execution.
● Experience working with PR agencies and/or managing brand partnerships is a plus.
● Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong cross-functional collaborator with a sharp eye for aesthetics.
● Able to work in our Sausalito, CA office, with occasional evenings, weekends, and travel for events and pop-ups.
● Comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter.
