If you like the original Oahu shorts, DO NOT BOTHER with these. The hi-rise waist is really high, uncomfortable, and unattractive. I have two pairs of the original Oahu shorts (4-inch inseam, mid-rise waist) which I LOVE and wear often. I was psyched to try a 6-inch inseam, since 4-inches is pretty short for a 49-year old. However, the hi-rise is terribly uncomfortable and unattractive on me. I hope Carve will consider making an Oahu short with 1. the original mid-rise waist and 2. longer inseam choices. Thanks. PS: two stars rather than one because the colors (Pacifica and Cabernet) are quite nice.
