These are perfect over a swimsuit, and dry much faster than any other fabric I have tried. The fabric is slightly stretchy but not clingy. Fit good is on me (pear shaped) and waist is adjustable so that you can wear on your hips if you don't mind a low crouch. A little too short for me to wear for everyday around town, but I take these on the water to slip on when I want some light, non-drippy cover. I have worn to beach cafes and bars, boating, kayaking, SUP, and sailing.
