Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The Pipa Reversible Bottom is purposely shaped to flatter shorter torsos by creating the visual elongation many of us chase. It has a medium to high front rise and mid rise fit that lifts the waistline slightly, plus a seamless front leg that creates a smooth, uninterrupted line so your torso reads longer instead of chopped. The reversible design also gives you two styling options without changing the silhouette, so you can switch looks while keeping the same flattering fit. This is especially great for women who want more front and back coverage without sacrificing a sleek, put-together look. If you prefer a similar rise with less coverage, try our Landry Bottom, but for reliable elongation and modest coverage the Pipa is your go-to.
Yes. The Pipa Reversible Bottom is suitable for surf and active swimming because it combines secure construction with swim-ready materials. It uses recycled swim fabric that offers stretch and recovery to stay snug in the water, and its mid rise with medium coverage keeps everything in place during paddling or chasing shore breaks. The seamless front leg reduces friction and chafing so you can move comfortably, and the reversible fit is designed to be functional on both sides. This makes it ideal for active women, moms who split time between waves and kids, and anyone who wants dependable coverage with movement. For very high impact water sports or if you need extra security, pair it with a suit that has a waistband tie or higher coverage.
The Pipa stands out for three clear reasons: it is reversible for two looks in one, it features seamless construction for a smooth silhouette, and it offers a medium to high front rise with medium coverage. Compared with low-rise or cheekier bottoms, the Pipa gives a touch more coverage front and back while still reading modern and streamlined. It is made from recycled swim fabric, so you get both performance and a cleaner material story. Women who want an elevated, versatile bottom that feels polished and comfortable—especially those seeking modest-yet-flattering coverage—will love it. If you want a cheekier cut or minimal coverage, consider one of our lower-coverage styles instead.

Reviews Summary
Customers say these reversible swim bottoms provide good coverage while staying comfortable and flattering. Many appreciate the mid-rise cut and find the fit true to size, though some note they run slightly small or large depending on body type. The reversible feature is frequently praised, allowing for color versatility. Users report the material feels quality and stays in place during activities. Common feedback includes satisfaction with the coverage level without being unflattering. Some mention sizing considerations, with a few preferring to size up or down for optimal fit. Several customers note the waist height sits about two inches below the belly button, which works well for most but some prefer higher rise options.

    Pipa Reversible Bottom in Peri/Navy

I went with a medium on this as I was unsure the small would have enough coverage for my personal liking. Fits well, color is great, very comfortable and good coverage yet still sporty. I could probably pull off a small but plan to keep the medium as it is super comfortable and flattering.

Love these— I sized up a bit of better coverage but they are a great fit and feel overall.

    Awkward fit

I wanted to love these, but I found the fit very awkward, the mid rise cut in at my waist in an unflattering way. Seems these would only look good on a stick thin model. I think these bottoms run a little snugger than other designs. I ended up returning them and ordering the Erins instead.

    Not my favorite

I really wanted to love these because of all the great reviews, but the cut just didn’t look good on me. Seemed to run small at the waist, and the mid rise cut in on me in an unflattering way. I’m true-to-size small, usually a size 2 in jeans. I returned for the higher rise Erin bottom instead. I feel like for these to look good you would have to be super fit, otherwise you’ll get a muffin top.

Hi Theresa! We're sorry to hear the Pipa bottom didn't work out for you! Fit is so personal and we totally understand that different cuts work better for different body types. It sounds like you made a great choice switching to the Erin bottom with the higher rise - we hope that one is much more comfortable for you! Thanks for taking the time to share your honest feedback. 🩵
